Joshua Randlett is a trial attorney in Rudman Winchell’s litigation practice group, with his work being primarily devoted to civil litigation. He has experience representing clients in state and federal courts in Maine on matters involving products liability, Section 1983 civil rights litigation, wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, employment discrimination,and retaliation claims, automobile franchisor and franchisee disputes, complex business disputes, premises liability, trucking accidents, and motor vehicle accidents. Josh has represented individuals, insurance companies, employers, and businesses ranging from small local companies to international automobile manufacturers and airlines.
Since 2015, New England Super Lawyers magazine recognized Josh as a Rising Star in the field of personal injury defense. In 2010, he was awarded the Kenneth R. Clegg Award for Excellence for obtaining the highest combined score on the July 2010 administration of the Maine Bar Examination.
Prior to joining Rudman Winchell, Josh practiced with a firm that specialized in civil litigation defense work. Before that, he spent two years clerking for the State of Maine District Court. He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Josh was the Research Editor for the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal and was also a member of the Moot Court team. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, magna cum laude, from the University of Maine in 2007.
Josh is active in various legal and community groups. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Board of Directors for the Penobscot County Bar Association, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the John Waldo Ballou American Inn of Court, and the Maine Advisory Committee on Rules of Civil Procedure, and the Human Resources Association of Eastern Maine. He is a graduate of the Maine State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy Class of 2016.
In his free time, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and two dogs. He also likes to stay active by playing golf and fishing in the summer months.
